I feel your pain smiffy . probably my biggest fear , im like a turkey on christmas eve when going to dentist , amazing how pain goes away the min you get to the waiting room isnt it ?

Good luck Smiffy. I too hate the dentist - less terrified than I used to be but still break out in a rash when I have to go. When I was a kid at boarding school (long story!) the dentist was an ex royal dentist who was about 154 years old and turned up in his roller. His dentistry equipment and skills outdated him and as a 5 year old I started to weep and he told me to never darken his door again - so I didn't. At aged 11 when I left the school I needed 6 fillings and 1 tooth out !!

You will be doing crooked rather dribbly smileys when you get home so get a straw for the JD !

Wish I hadn't rung you now!! Appointment cancelled. Louise, the young salesgirl I work with, was involved in a car accident yesterday and is in a bad way apparantly. I am now required to work. Leave cancelled. Just in case you wanted to know, this is Louise.....she's a lovely girl and I'll help out where necessary. Just spoken to her on the phone. She is not injured, just badly shaken up and in need of a couple of days rest.

Spoke to her on the phone. She is ok but badly shaken up. It wasn't her company car, she was in her boyfriends car at the time, he skidded on black ice.

I've just had more injections than a junkie who's won the lottery and now the wife is giving me an injection in the stomach to prevent DVT for the next 35 days, and I have had to stop her watching the World Darts Championship as she's standing 6 ft away to give it, and I would still take all that rather than the dentist injection in the back of the jaw!

I had a spin on the ice on Saturday. Managed to lose it on the way to the gc, and shot off backwards into the woods. Luckily missed the trees, and could just drive back out again. Mate of mine in front of me had no trouble at all in his bm x3.
