Our last course on the Kintyre trip, playing on the way home. A strong course, and a bit of a slog. Maybe we were just worn out from the last 4 days, but it felt like a real trek and beat us up on the back 9. It's a good course and a good test of golf, the fastest greens we'd played on all week, but sad to say, no real wow holes for me.

looks like you played some great courses.

I would have been the worst playing partner on those courses as i would have been distracted looking at the views and not concentrating on where my partners shots were heading :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

"Where did that go? Did it go into the dunes? "Err........, no idea......... lost it in the sun......."

We'll agree to disagree about that. Western has the better location and it's absolutely fabulous. Dundonald.is a better layout and tougher challenge.

Not much between them in my honest opinion.

Some people get a bit snobby about Dundonald, because it doesn’t have the history of other great Scottish courses. But make no mistake, it’s a cracking course built to test the pros.

I think it’s good enough to host the Open, if it was a hundred years older it would probably be on the rota.
