Dubai golf

Montgomery is rather enjoyable and I would recommend a buggy in June, 40 degrees in the day is a cold snap!

Got into a taxi at the airport once around 1am and the outside temp gauge was showing 48!!!

Enjoy yourself

For me it came down to cost.

While if have lived to have played the Majlis, I didn't want to spend the money they were after. I'm not saying it's not worth it, just I couldn't justify it at this time.

Earth sounded less enjoyable than the Monty, which was also the cheapest and as paying two green fees, cost was a big factor.

Also, if you're on a budget, when you exit the airport for taxis, if someone asks you if you want a taxi, say no and go to a pale yellow cab, not a posh looking sedan.

The guy asking works with the sedans, and they are a bit more expensive than a taxi.

That said, the sedans are far more comfortable!

When I've been out there in the RN, I've played at night, an option if it's too hot. The course in the middle of the racecourse and Dubai Creek were both lit back then, sure there must be more now.

For when I am there 30th & 31st May costs are:

Majlis: £143
Monty: £157
Faldo night golf: £78.00
Earth: £143

So pretty close between them all really.

Might as well go for Earth and Faldo night.

If you can get the Majlis for the same price as the Earth, I'd play the former.

Played a couple of the sand courses out there in the early nineties during June and July. It was so hot that you could barely touch the heads of your irons they were that hot. The Emirates had only just opened then and it was too expensive to play as it was the only grass course there.

You will need lots of water.
