Druids Golf

Just had to check I hadn't inadvertently stumbled onto Mumsnet!

Personally, I like and rate Druids stuff. Got loads and never had a problem. Find that the quality v price is excellent especially if
you buy in one of their perpetual sales!
Sadly there's too many men who don't really know how to use a washing machine who for various reasons are now living alone and are just too embarressed to ask and hope to rely on others.
I had an elderly gent to visit November last year who's wife had died that year after many years of marriage and he had no real idea how to use the machine correctly. The fault he had was just user error, so after showing him that I demonstrated and instructed him on how to use the machine. He almost had tears in his eyes he was so happy he wouldnt have to wait for his daughter to visit from further down South and he would be able to have clean and non smelly clothes.
This is in no way a dig at yourself at all, and I know what mumsnet is like as well.
It's just that sometimes theres some helpful information put up that someone may find helpful now or at a future moment that right now they don't expect to need.
:)

As for Druids golf, I've never bought anything from them.

Back to the actual point. They are trying to get out of refunding £5.99 postage to me "because it was successfully delivered" no that's not what the distance selling goods act says.

The item was advertised wrong and the second item was not ordered by me. So it's their mistake

It's this kind of rubbish that's put me off dealing with companies like this

I had an issue with a golf trolly recently with snainton . Had to return it as not fit for purpose after over 30 days from purchasing... They refunded me the entire thing and covered postage back to them

So I'd return to snainton because when something went wrong they dealt with it in a prompt and correct way.

Please take in the manner intended (y)

I think you’re right to challenge druids & agree that snainton did great customer service … but as a little observation, why order from druids in the first place? You said it yourself, didn't snainton deserve that order particularly in light of what they did for you, even if it cost a couple quid more ;)

Honestly? It was a bit of an impulse buy, since I got the jacket off druids my inbox is spammed by druids so when I saw their shorts I thought give them a try

So you could say that subconsciously at least, spam trumps good service 😄 No wonder we get so much of one and so little of the other

Definitely, because snainton only got the trolley buy in the first place due to 10% off they emailed me the week before ...

Like a moth to a flame

Yeah druids take the Mick

"I would like to express my gratitude for reaching out to us. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused on this matter. Please be assured that we are committed to resolving this issue for you.

I would like to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, I have forwarded the details to the relevant team for correction. Please be aware that our shipping policy states that the shipping fee is non-refundable. However, we have already processed a refund for the return postage fee. Our standard procedure is to complete the refund process within 5 working days upon receiving the returned item. However, in this case, I would like to make an exception and arrange for a refund to be issued today.

Additionally, as a gesture of goodwill, I would like to offer you a store credit for 10% off your next purchase. This credit will be valid for one year. I hope you will accept this as a sincere apology from our end.

Thank you for your understanding."

For one I don't want 10% off, I won't be using them again..I noticed at the same time I got an email from them for 10% off that everyone gets so its not a sorry it's just an offer they have on anyways

Also I dont believe any terms and conditions can over rule the distance selling goods act that they are legally bound to follow for selling goods in the UK

Not even the cash it's the principle that they aren't following acts to protect consumer rights they are just doing whatever they want.

Safe to say it's put me off ever buying anything from then again if a simple return that's their fault they can't just refund the cash.. why try and be so ridgid when they have sold an item incorrectly advertised and also sent the other item wrong ...

So they've agreed to fully refund the postage after all, accelerated that process for you, and given you a 10% discount that lasts a whole year. God, what awful bastards they are.

Not sure what you are moaning about here, they have given you a full refund, and done it quickly.

They haven't refunded the postage only the return postage

No they have only refunded the return postage

They won't refund the delivery charge

That's the point it's their mistake not mine

If it didn't fit fair enough that's my mistake you don't have to refund the £5.99 postage

But it's their mistake they advertised it incorrectly and sent an incorrect item

2 mistakes

So they have to refund the entire order

They're probably not deeming it incorrect just because of the washing instructions - normal people don't care about those.

Hi Paul,

This is correct and we will issue full refund. Our standard process is to complete the process within 5 business days upon receiving the returned items.

In our previous correspondence, I extended an offer for a 10% discount voucher and an exception to expedite the refund process. However, the 10% discount voucher has been declined by you as you have no intentions to make future purchases. In this situation, we kindly request that you allow us to receive the returned parcel before proceeding with the request. Rest assured, we will still process and arrange for the refund on the same day that we receive the parcel, rather than waiting an additional 5 days after delivery.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
Team Druids

Well there we go only taken 24 hours for them to realise that have no legal right to keep the money and because I declined their 10% off they won't refund it all today they will wait until the parcel arrives back

Fair enough you do you

Honestly the funniest thing about all this is now PJ87 is going to be constantly reminded of it when he gets 100 emails and texts every week with info on their current sale! :ROFLMAO:

And that druids are cutting his handicap by 3 shots!... but he can appeal

I mean I'm not one to dwell or hold grudges and labour a point over and over

Oh wait 😂

These guys can seriously do one now. Just received a refund in form of a credit note

Thats not what's agreed.

The fight continues

On a slightly different point, can anyone give any advice on sizing? I am close to pressing the button on my first Druids order, but don't want to stumble into the returns scenario mentioned earlier!

I have several Under Armour polos and mid layers in large, albeit labelled as loose fit. I also have a few from Penguin, Ping and Oakley in large which fit fine.

As UA is a common item of golfing apparel, can anyone who has both UA and Druids gear comment on how the sizing compares? I do have a couple of polos from other manufacturers which are a slightly smaller large :) where an XL would be a better fit.

Many thanks.

My advise would be to order all the polos you want from them, in about 3 sizes. Then return all the ones that don't fit as it will cost £5.99 postage regardless and £3 return postage so might aswell just do that. Then you can try them on
