Driving and wood problem

Hi All,

Just new to the forum and badly in need of help.

Over the course of the last 3 years I've developed a problem from the tee, mainly with driver and 3 wood . I'm constantly hitting the ground about 12 inches behind the ball. Sometimes I get away with it and sometimes not. This started off as an occasional thing, but has gradually got worse and worse to the point now where it happens every time.I dont tend to do this with my irons, and I dont do it on my practice swings. I play off a 20 handicap. What do you think are the most likely causes???

Hi,

I dont have one yet, but I'll try and get one uploaded tonight or tomorrow. I take it there could be numerous reasons for this fault then ???

Not an expert but I have done this a couple of times and the only thing I can feel is me loosing height during the down swing. If i get caught on the back foot and dont transfere my weight properly it can happen, usually I am trying to hard to get the ball airbourne and lean (to my right) before impact.(Reverse Pivot)

There could be several reasons, so best not to guess.
Do you get to the position in my picture just after impact with my right heel already off the ground?
