Can I suggest that the "current Mrs148" might not like being referred to as the "current" Mrs148 as it seems to imply that you think that there might be a "future" Mrs148. In much the same way as Mrs Colch (who I haven't yet married) doesn't like being referred to as my "future ex-wife"

I would, when i went to Uni there it wasn't anything like as full of Tourists all year round like it is now that must have had a knock on effect.

Still looking forward to it regardless! First of my close friends to get married so should have a good weekend.

We're going whisky tasting which isn't my thing but will give it a go regardless.

As a drinker of craft beer which tends to be pricier, I know your pain. £30 is the most I've spent on one 330ml bottle of beer so far in a bar. I don't usually drink pints, I'll generally get a half or 330ml bottle/can and it would typically cost £4-6 for this.

Paid £5 for a pretty average pint of lager in a plasitc cup just a few weeks ago.

it was on the bank of the Thames, under Tower Bridge on a scorcing evening. In balance it was worth the extra cost for the location.

Normally I just drink tap water, saves buckets on the bills. Wife has the same outlook so we are a good match.

Where the tourists flock though, the prices rise.

This is roughly what I paid 14 years ago, the first time we went to Norway, for a pint of Og and a glass of plonk.
Admittedly this was in Tromso where the cost of living is higher than the south. Two years ago it was nealy £20, 190nok.
I believe you can pay less, but really, I couldn't possibly frequent such establishments... ;)
