Draw Bias Driver, should I...?

I'm the owner of a draw bias driver but now that my bad shot is a hook it has become redundant (never say never though). I have to be honest and say I can see all angles. Yes, I'd recommend lessons if the total swing was all over the shop but as the OP is having them already and irons etc and swing changes are working then maybe not.

I can see the benefit in getting a draw bias and using it if its the only club not working and would say that if you can get a cheap one somewhere then its probably worth a go. Other than that, try playing around with the set up and grip and seeing what happens but ultimately if you are still struggling, it really does make good sense to see a pro. It sounds like yours knows your game and will understand your swing (and the changes) and so can give you the information to make you fall in love with the Ping again

I use 3 wood and iv dropped the driver completely from the bag......Im much straighter and consistent with the 3v wood and i can pretty much put it where i aim....Something i could not do with the driver....Im plenty long with the 3 and until such time as my handicap starts coming down and my game starts to get some more consistency i will then buy a driver....Cobra S2 me thinks ....... I know one day i will eventually need one but think of it this way.......Think of the feeling everyone gets when they pure a driver....Chest out look at me!!!!!......Now think of that same feeling when you cream your 3 wood 30 or 40 yards past there driver distance.......Who's laughing now then.... :D :D :D

lol, you big hitter. is your three wood 17 degree

Sorry to disappoint Bigslice.....Its a 15 deg Cobra 3 wood.....why would you use a 17deg 3 wood when a 5 wood is 18? :D
Also Most people hit there 3 woods further and straighter than there drivers yet they'll still take the Big Dawg out to see how far they can hit it.

cobra s2 draw three wood is 17 degree although normal s2 is 15

I dont use Draw biased clubs i use the standard one.....Which is posted in my Sig

Also Cobra dont make Draw biased woods....They make straight neck and Offset..... Offset and Draw biased are two very different weapons.

no problem i stupidly assumed by the original post title that we were all talking about draw/offset clubs. you have jumped on board to boast that you hit straight. shame on you ya showoff :D

I think boast is the wrong word as i can be wayward at times but i have more consistency with the 3W...But when i had the driver i was all over the course....At the moment my long game is pretty sound but the short game is cronic.
And i wouldnt say straight as such.... But i did get rid of a slice through a grip change and an alignment change something im sure most people could manage. :D :D

some of my golfing mates have been trying to get me to try small changes. but it feels strange and i always go back to nice and comfy. will give it another go. if you check out cobra.com they refer to offset and draw bias as the same club. one day that 90 degree slice will be a distant memory

Back from my lesson, my pro tweaked my posture and got me making a bigger shoulder turn and all is well again. My irons are great and my driver is now producing a nice fade.

Sometimes, the problem IS the gobshite holding the bat ;)

Thanks for the advice all, much appreciated :D

Stick with it lad. It'll come eventually and when it does you'll be wondering what all the fuss was about :)
