I'd play it for £75 (at least once)

Cheaper than many tracks. In fact I'm surprised Trump International is that cheap!!!

Donald Trump is not stupid. A lot of players paying £75 a round makes more money than hardly anybody playing it at £320 a round (admittedly including B&B in his hotel). I live quite close to The Grove in Hertfordshire and that is virtually deserted most of the time, whereas most of the cheaper courses in the area are reasonably busy.

I believe the £75 is only for the local residents during the winter.

What course are you a member off ?

Seems that £95 is the minimum green fee for a non-resident at their hotel. They may have a cheaper rate for Watford residents, but I don't live in that borough.

I'm a member of Batchworth Park in Rickmansworth. As I pay a small fortune in membership fees, but get as much 'free' golf as I want on my home course after that, I tend not to frequent pay and play courses any more.

The £75 is in reference to the Trump Course

The £75 is in reference to the Trump Course

As you didn't specify, and both courses were mentioned, you could have been referring to either. The courses are both pay and play associated with a hotel. The point is that golf is quite price sensitive, and there a price beyond which most people won't pay, however special the course may be! :D

Standard high season rate (for non-local) at Trump is £195. Only a bit more than Gleneagles or Castle Stuart, yet the reports I've heard say it's miles better than any of the 3 at Gleneagles and gives Castle Stuart a run for it's money.

Trump won't be ploughing in the kind of money that he has done if he didn't think there will be a long term profit.

Plus it's still cheaper than Kingsbarns.
