Do you love any of your clubs?

Another thread to take the breath away. Grown men declare their love for golf clubs.

I don't fit in here.......

I'm currently in love with my RBZ driver. In fact if it could cook I would probably divorce the wife.
Had a bit of a lovers tiff today though...

With the wife? ... could always go for a takeaway, ditch HID and cuddle up with the RBZ

I have been known to stroke my putter whilst watching "Its a wonderful life" with the lights turned down low.

But if the wife asks, we're just friends...

I see your Miuras and raise you Vega V-Muscle

Having had Miura Blades (and CB201s) and V-Muscles in the past, I still think the Mizzie MP37s were the best blade I've played. Happy now with my 11 year old (Miura forged) TM300s.

Current 'best in bag' is the olde-skool Sonartec NP99 3-wood - with Sami-ised Accra Prototype (of SC75 M3). Baby Bee always seems to perform - just needs an alternative in the wings to keep him honest! ;)

It isn't expensive, it isn't white and it isn't a brand that many accomplished players would look at. But I tried it bought it and love it.

It is does everything I ask of it and has got me out of the crap more times than I can count. It's MD Superstrong F7 Fairway Wood and for £40 it's the best club I've bought.

It doesn't have to cost a fortune or look pretty to be good at what it does. However it does have avery yellow shaft which I do admit I like.

for me its my putter, I hate how I putt with it at times but its the nicest looking club in the bag and I have to say even if I buy others I will never sell it :)

My MD Drew Connemara putter. I've tried many other putters thinking it would be good to upgrade and nothing comes close both visually at address or feel.

So whereas everything else is susceptible to change, the putter is not

Sure you haven't been having a sneaky cuddle with your new Mizzies ?

:D

Unfortunately not. In fact I haven't hit a ball with them yet and won't until mid August as I am off to Spain in the morning.

They look a bit daunting! About 1.25" smaller than my previous clubs! Shank and vibration meltdown on the cards perhaps?! We'll see.....

I am consoling myself with the fact that I have a round booked next Wednesday at PGA de Catalunya - a course that I have heard nothing but good things about.

Anyway, back on topic - man love for inanimate objects....

I love my J Reg Land Rover Defender Pick-Up. Jacked up with tractor tyres and dodgy electrics to boot. But Hilda has genuine personality and soul. I have never had a golf club like that.

You (the guys that love their clubs) all remind me of the chap in Caddyshack who had a wooden putter called the Billy Baroo. Very funny - must be on YouTube somewhere.......

Cheers,

Snelly.
