Do you know who I am?

What's your thoughts on the changes down there ?

I like it, made the course quite easy during the winter and spring, but now the rough is starting to grow back it's getting tougher.
Some of the bunkers they added are right in the wrong places :D, the course looks nice as well IMO, specially the tee shot on 14.
Have you played there since the changes?

Yes, not sure how long you've been a member but I play down there quite regularly as my doubles partner if we play in opens is a member there. If you've been there any length of time you'll probably have at least have seen him on the practice field. His name is Jeff Richardson, he spends hours down there just hitting balls.
I've never been keen on Chester mind, always found it a bit uninspiring though it's always beautifully presented. Course looks like a new course now, great open spaces with the odd sapling and new bunker giving it definition. Sorry, I know people get quite defensive if you criticise their chosen course (I certainly do !) but it seems like a lot of work for no outstanding gain.
Of course, it won't look how it's meant to in less than 12 months but it strikes me that there is a agenda here to keep a quicker speed of play.

Ironically the pace of play has been at its worst this year 😥

Don't know the your mate although I'll probably recognise him, only been playing/member there 4 years myself.
I'm not a golf snob, each to their own about how they view a course, I've played better and worse in the area, Tyneside is lovely, Garesfield which is 2 minutes from my house left me both knackered and uninspired.
Haven't played South Moor but a fella who joined last year was a member there for a while, said it was just about closed all winter due to it being so wet. Does sound like a nice course though when it's in tip top condition mind.

I'll be having a knock down Chester next week mate, I'll let you know how I get on.
Our place does get wet in the winter to be fair, you should get yourself up bud, I run a monthly singles open up there, only £12.50 on a Saturday.
