Whether it's a medal, a day out or just a bounce game with your mates, do you always have a bet?
Or do you sometimes just go out for a bit of fun and not bother with the scores?

when the medals start we don't bother, well they amongst themselves do front nine back 9 and overall but i'm not part of that group yet:(:D

when we play bounce games we play for skins and or front 9 back 9 and overall stableford.

Very very rarely. Sometimes play for the pints if we're somewhere where we'll just stay for one drink, someone has to buy, might as well be the loser(s)

with my usual playing partner we rarely make bets and if we do just a few quid and normally just play about not thinking about scores if its midweek. when i play with a friend i don't normally play with always interesting to have a bet, makes it more interesting

We always have bet, normally a fiver on the match plus bits. If there us a large group of us then there is oftern 2 bets, one on the overall and once on the winner in each 4 ball.

We started about a year ago and since then if there is no pot then there is no fun lol. front back and overall+ a little flutter in the matchplay.

Just a 2's pot for us - did I mention that I won it again on Friday...?

Yeah All Hail A Great Win.....all £6 of it :-)

Dont forget someone else won it last time for £12

Playing in a society day at Harewood Downs Amersham on friday, the 2's pot has rolled over and will stand at over £80

Thats worth winning

Fragger

play with a mate who plays of the same level £1 each on matchplay/s'ford/medal

also play once a week with a golfer who recieves 7 shots and we play for £1 s'ford

We play as an 8 (2x 4 balls) every other week and normally do a whip of £5 each. But we split it diwali so much and juggle it that normally 5/6 people normally get something.

Best front 9
Best back 9
Best overal
Most points on par 3
Most points on par 5
Most points on 1 hole
Nearest the pins
Lottery blind pairs best score - everyone plays, shaffke the cards then blind pick of pairs- best combined score wins

On our Christmas game we doubled up, and from 8 only one person didn't win ;)

tends to depend on who i play with, at previous club would always be a decent bet on most games, current club mate I play midweek with loser pays for lunch (but we adjust the hcap difference up/down a shot on who wins), when playing with others I tend to go with the flow with whatever they usually play for

Normally £2.00 for each of the front 9, back 9 and match. Alll square after 9 carries over.
If playing matchplay, normally play for a fiver a corner.
Usually lob 50p for birdies in there as well somewhere.

We usually play in 4 balls so play 4BBB, the losers pay the winners £2 each and we pay 25p bits and ousies, so at the worst you can be about £3.50 down.
It's not the amount of money that's the enjoyment though, it's the taking of it!

I don't usually have a side bet when in a Medal or similar.

Normally 1 1 & 1 so from winning two weeks in a row I am up a fiver although winners tend to buy the drinks so you are always down :(

Friendly 4BBB games are played £1, £1, £1, plus 25p bits

We won today 1 up and collected just 75p - after I bought the first round I was well out of pocket but we did have the bragging rights.

We never have money on it when playing in a group made up of our regulars. The only times I do is when playing with someone else and they suggest it.

We play 50p, 50p, 50p for front 9, back 9 and overall win
We also do 10p snakes and camels
Snake (If you are GIR, failure to 2 putt or less = 10p in the pot)
Camel (In a bunker = 10p)

Last person to >2putt or go into a bunker pays out the pot to playing partners.

Not exactly big money but a bit of banter over a pint in the 19th

Play with the same two mates every sunday afternoon. scratch game, strokeplay. NEVER play for money, but the joy of winning/despair of losing is more than sufficient for our middle-aged constitutions.
