Stand bag and trolley is my current mode of transport.

Am starting to have my head turned by a pencil bag - free to walk over greens / direct to the next tee box....

What do you think or is travelling light nt all it is cracked up to be or just not that light!

I use one for winter and its great.

I need more space now summer is here with the sun and hot days. Water, Sunscreen, Umbrella. Too much for my little pencil bag.

Roll on next winter or just some rain and clouds.

I have one of THESE and for 9 holes and now in the summer it is smashing, what do you need in it in the summer sun cream and a bottle of water?

It is just slightly bigger than a pencil bag but it does have a stand which swayed me towards it.

i picked up a brand new Sun Mountain one off ebay the other week for £20, replacement for the Callaway Strike ones, of which I had a couple go south on me

Still need a double strap though, unless you only take a half set. Other wise you might as well just get a normal carry bag.

The difference in the weight of the bag is pretty minimal.

Can you not walk over a green/straight to the next tee box with your stand bag?
The difference in weight is going to be negligable - about a bag of sugar's worth. Not worth spending the money.

If you just want to take half a set/travel light then empty the stand bag...
