Im trying to find a way to practice uphill/downhill and ball below and above feet lies at home. I feel its so much more beneficial than just firing off perfect lies for every practice.

I was wondering if anyone does this. I was considering some form of plyboard wedge with carpet. I need something i can stand on and can hit from.

In my experience carpet does not work. perhaps if you glued it down entirely then you may but honestly its not going to be good for your clubs and I genuinely think it will only last a few shots before it wrinkles and then you bust a hole in it.

I use door mats, I have for years, they last me about 4 months hitting off them every night. There is enough bounce to protect your club and you don't need to fix them down so they don't shred. You can also push a tee peg into them. I shall do some pics later if I remember.

its not the surface thats the issue, its getting an adjustable slanted board so i can practice different gradients.

Having said that, ive used a piece of carpet with a bit underlay to stop vibrations and its lasted 14 months of hacking.

Interesting, how did you secure them together?

unless you're playing off lots of wierd lies all the time I wouldnt bother. Practice the shots you are likely to play more often...... Altough a home setup is a good idea, juts forget the slopey stuff.
