Looking for a bit of advice
Ill first paint the picture
In 2013 around October I first got below 6 into cat 1 - I was amazed that someone who didn't hit the ball that far and wasn't the best player got to Cat 1 - all the way through 2014 I yo yo ed from 5 to 6 then to 5 again and back to 6
In fact I'm sure some of you will remember when a poster was kind enough to post my results on here. Now last year I forgot about my signature and at times it showed my HC as 5 when I should have been 6 etc - no big deal I thought - well that was until a few started to post hints about my HC etc and things came to a head etc
Anyway through the winter and into autumn I hit a bit of form which carried through into spring - couple of forum wins at RCP and then a cracking win at Blackmoor which then followed two board comp wins and cuts down to 5.1 - chuffed
Recent weeks saw a run of 4 .1's which moved me back up to 5.5 - boooooooo but yesterday a great gross 73 should get me back to cat 1 again - so I will yo-yo
I'm sure you are bored but I'm getting to the point honestly
Now whilst I have been on here I haven't ever really any technical advice on how to play the game etc etc or I hope I don't display this attitude that I'm a great cat 1 and know how to play the game etc etc
Over the last 6 months it's been a running joke with the friendly Scouse boys about being cat 1 etc and me not being a true cat 1 and we all had a giggle
But imagine my surprise when recently I have been informed that someone is still checking me out on HDID and is telling people on the forum not to call me a cat 1 golfer ?!?! I don't know if I should feel honoured that someone is that obsessed with me that they still check my results and HC out !! I know someone did last year but didn't know exactly who but totally surprised that someone still tracks my progress but I'm confused why they wish to remain in the sidelines - why not be public about it and hide in the shadows about it all ? Why do they feel the need to tell people to check out my HDID ?!
So finally my question - at last you say - what happens next - well soon our clubs systems are being upgraded to make the information private to club registered players - but what does the poster do then ? How will he know what's going on - if he made himself public I could tell him my HC on a weekly basis ? Maybe start a blog just for him ?
But the main point is this poster appears to have an issue with my HC - I'm not sure exactly what it is - so what I'm suggesting is maybe the poster would like to join everyone at H4H day and be part of the 4ball I'm in and we could have a friendly match play or something ? Is that the right way to go
Does anyone else have any suggestions - if you are still reading
Honestly who ever the poster is how about just asking me about my golf and HC progress instead and sneaking about like a snake - it's a bit more mature then
