Did you get to where you wanted to be this season

I'm happy with my quarter season! Got my first handicap and managed to add .2 in the 2 medals I've played in, but overall I'm a better golfer than I was last year! Driving has massivily improved, i.e. I can now keep it on the course!

Aiming to drop a couple of shots for next year to get down to around 13 ish!

Did you get to where you wanted to be this season---- not even close!! but I will be back next year for another crack!

I ended up in the pub and rather drunk last night due to my golf. I think that sums up my season.

Now got a sore head and feel real bad.

Yes!:) Started the year at 34 - I am under no illusion about the standard of my play, so was hoping to shave just a couple of shots off to finish on 32. I am currently on 28, and hoping to get a couple more shots off next year.

Well done Mary keep up the good work ... HID was on 35 four years ago & is still on 35 now ... wait thats her age , she doesnt play golf :D

Went from 15.6 down to 12.6 pretty quickly, and then thought 10 was achievable. However, a few .1's and the odd little cut has seen me plateu. Looks like ive found my level for the time being !

A big NO :( started at 11.5 now 13.1 got .1 back in all but 2 comps this year. Looking back I played much too often with a card in my hand and no where near enough either practise or just social golf.

Will all change next year (fingers crossed) :D

Nice one Mary

Good year, seemed to all just click when I got the new bats and a set of shafts that suited me.

Won a few trophies, broke into the team, had a good run at the club championship and got down to 2.7 from 4.5 with the lowest gross round in the club for the year.

Also played the Old Course, Royal Dornoch, Machrihanish and Askernish all for the first time.

More from my daughter this one as she's eyeing up what she can do next season.

She got her first handicap of 36 in May, had her first comp in June & 4 months later she has knocked 14 shots of her handicap & won a rose spoon with a nett 59.

Fantastic achievement - Congratulations to your daughter. Good luck to her for next season. :)

No not quite though still got a qualifier or 2 to go (weather permiotting), have got from 10 to 6.5 though the target was cat 1, though will be happy enough to get there early next year now (Id have got there in the medal this week if I hadnt putted so atrociously!)

Funny how goals change, i started the season on 11 with the hope i'd get down to single figures and ended it on 6, slightly disappointed that i hadn't made it to cat 1! Having said that i played so badly for the last month that i found myself wishing i had more shots to play with. Its a crazy game...

Went the wrong way this year from 8.8 to 10.2, just has a couple of nighmare holes every round i played, was a great partner for 4 ball and wont 3 comps at that but failed to play a round this year without scratching a hole. Despite working on my short game last winter it was a disaster on the course but great in practice so more work needed there.

I was about to say no until I got a notification from Howdidido that I have had a handicap change down from 14.2 to 11.9. I can only assume this is an annual adjustment based on scores returned as our qualifying comps have now finished. I must admit that I didn't have any .1s this year (only one win mind you) all in all though I'm a Happy Bunny.

I joined the club in August this year and got a handicap of 24 by September. Plan was to try and get it down to 18 but still at 24.0 so think my target of 18 will carry over into 2012.
