Did anyone else see the figures on Lee Westwoods drive up the 8th last night??

Uphill all the way........349 yards!!!!!

They play a game with which I am not familiar.

Best day of golf I have seen......ever. :D

If you saw it too then he must of done it although I’m still shaking my head????
I just cant understand how they hit it so much harder.
I’m 6ft tall, 13st and have technically a very good swing and yet it must be full of power leaks when you consider what Lee and others can do, they do play a different game, I think its called golf but I’m not sure what we play?

That was awesome wasn't it. It's certainly a different game to the one I play and love but the watching me hack it up wouldn't make good telly :)

I think I yelled " Get the **** outta here"

349 uphill?

They showed Phil's stat - only 332 and the called that one a biggy.

Grady said as long as Lee hits fairways and greens then they're not going to catch him - it'll take some magic to catch him if he does.

Is it just me, or do many of the pro's seem to have shortish driver shafts?

Maybe that is how they stay at the top of the game, get their sponsors to push long shafts on the clueless public...

I think most of us have 46 inch shafts - some 45 1/2 but most of the Pro's have 44 or 45 inch shafts for more control. I know Atticus has had success shortening his shaft (ooooh Matron!). Manufacturers seem to think we just want distance so the longer shafts get fitted.

Being a fine weather golfer, after I stopped last year, I tore my labrum. I am convinced this means I can not hit a long shaft driver now.

All clubs inc 3 wood are fine. As soon as I hit my driver (shaft feels very long) my shoulder starts slipping out.

To go off topic slightly, how much damage would I be looking at to go to a pro, have my swing check out and have a short shaft put on my driver?

Intead of spending bundles having your driver re-shafted with a shaft they've cut down before fitting to your clubhead......why not get them to take the grip off, shorten the one you already have in it and re-grip it??? :D

Did anyone else notice the discolouring of one of Tigers front teeth? Do you think it's a replacement for the one that got knocked out with a 7 iron? You would've thought that with all that money he would find a dentist with a better colour match chart than Dulux!! :D

It certainly looked like a bodge job.
