Believe me, I've had the full story!
Went for a lunchtime 'Tower Bridge loop' powerwalk with my boss and the twin eagles were casually dropped into the conversation just after the Bridge leaving a good 20 minutes to get the full details before returning to the sanctuary of the office and some writing work.
You lot didn't get the full story though - there was also a three-putt par on one of the other par 5s, and much talk of how many bits he would have accumulated for his exploits had they been playing them. Fortunately, as it was a Writers vs Golf Foundation match, playing bits would have been jolly bad form as it would effectively have been taking money out of kids' pockets!
Hopefully he's used up his eagle allocation for the entire season as there's big money at stake in the GM season-opener at Brancaster next week...

I can't quite see Mike "power walking" anwhere. Ambling with a large Starbucks definitely.
