Di Matteo - Sacked

He was found not guilty in a law court so factually incorrect, a kangaroo court doesn't count and that charge was for bringing the game inot disripute, but Rio can say and do what he likes though?

If Raffa comes to the bridge I think football will witness the biggest revolt ever known, the only trouble is that the new breed blue followers will fill the seats anyway.

Lots of hardcore old school Chelsea not happy with Roman, we'd rather not have the wealth and all the managerial changes.

JT being found not guilty was as laughable as him saying he was "repeating what he thought AF said". But that aside.

There isn't a manager on the planet worth anything that would touch CFC with a parge pole. It's a poison chalice and only good for getting your retirement fund built up quickly with your payoff. Rafa is pretty much nailed on to be your next manager then. Good luck with that pmsl.
I don't agree with your comment on the old school fans as I know quiet a few and none of the bloame RA for anything as most of them have the same requirments from the manager, win every game, win every trophy or the manager is no good and can go. CFC will struggle until RA gets bored of his toy and someone comes in and gives a manager the time he needs. The team also needs to get rid of a lot of senior players who think they are bigger than the manager with RA letting them it's destroying the club.
Aberdeen had 100,000 people turn out for them winning the Scottich cup, LFC had over 600,000 turn out for winning the CL in 05, CFC had 75K turn out for winning the CL in 2012. It goes to show the level of support CFC actually has.

Towns & City's compared to a Borough!

Clubs you've mentioned can hang on to their history like a comfort blanket, as that's all that's left of it now, however Chelsea continue to make history.

The future is Blue.

Yeah sky blue of Manchester!

hmmm..

No love for the Blues from me (irons).

But I can see why they ditched Di Matteo. A number of managers have either won or come close to a European Cup on the basis of work done by others (Tony Barton, Jimmy Armfield for example, showing my age). Neither lasted long term. I'm not convinced that Di Matteo has what it takes to take a club like Chelsea forward for a few seasons. Running that sort of organisation takes rare talent - Mourinho, Fergusson, Wenger, Guardiola etc. Not many about and RDM doesn't strike me as likely to make it onto the list.

On the specifics of their recent form (and last night), you just can't win without a single decent striker. Even against West Brom, let alone Juve etc. Not RDM's fault, but until they sort that out the decline will continue. Hopefully.

unfortunatly when the big guns sold their souls to the money men, football we "oldies" grew up with would be changed forever ,

Football is an international business now , soon there will be European league & it will change even more ..

There is no sentiment or feeling inside the board rooms of big business, its results & profit ..

What does worry me a bit tho is what happens if the big boys tire of the fad that is now football , & the money stops flowing ?

Shocking way to treat a man who has given you your dream trophy.
Saying that the 2 year deal he signed was probaly worth 6 million plus.
RDM will get another job.
Benitez is the favorite,i give him 2 years

LOLOLOLOLOL - may I refer you to first post in this thread.... as for JT, you are sadly blinkered if you believe he's some sort of saint.

Chelsea think they are big time but in truth they are just trying to buy it. Liverpool & Man U are clubs where the majority of players are there because of what the club is, the fans, the history and so forth.

Look how much it means to a lot of players who join these 2 clubs, its the pinnacle of a players career in some cases. Chelsea and Man City are easy money for players so they will just jump onto the cash cow and say thank you very much.

I am biased of course as an LFC fan but I speaketh the truth :D

Di Matteo can walk away with his head held high and with a bankfull of notes.

I think RDM should take some time from English football, maybe manage in Italy and then wait the phone call from Liverpool or Tottenham when their managers finish mucking things up.

Roman never wanted to give RDM the job in the first place but he had to after they won the Champions League. He's been waiting for an excuse to sack him and now he's got one. What makes me laugh is that the two biggest problems Chelsea have had have been the gifts that Roman has bestowed on his managers. First Shevchenko and then Torres both expensive flops that he insists get played. The man is a fool with more money than sense. As a Hammer I'm not complaining. We actually have a chance to finish the season as the top team in London...unless Chelsea buy Falcao that is!

Brilliant! I said this afternoon that they may as well make JT player manager, he would be perfect, sucks up to RA, the Chavski fans love him and he is as clueless as the rest of them.
IF they do persuade Rafa to join as a temp manager, can't see it myself, then all I can see in the board room is..................................
