Smoke on the water with violins just cannot be the same

Have a great night and no stage diving with that dodgy hip of yours

Enjoy old-timer :p

My main non golf obsession is Bruce Springsteen and tickets for a 2012 tour go on sale tomorrow - I already have ticket anxiety and planning my morning around 2 lap-tops, 1 desk-top and 3 phones !!

Thanks for your messages. I have tickets for row 2 so its look at their nose hair time!

One ticket going spare if anyone can make it!

I wish you well tomorrow

Mate of mine went to see them in Manchester last night and it was the full Deep Purple experience with the orchestra added in on top. He said it was a fantastic night and he was very unsure if he would enjoy it or not as he is a real rock fanatic.

Me too, which venue? We're trying for the Etihad, so fingers crossed. Have you signed up for live nation for the presale, as the general sale is not until Saturday.

Keep it quiet though...... Oh bugger.

Also Etihad (I'm also a City fan) and just secured GA tickets - whooppeeeee :D

Did you get some? Usually when it's stadium shows it's easier to secure them but less enjoyable shows than smaller venues...

Thanks Chris - VERY happy as got tickets this morning. How was the concert last night? Ears still ringing??

Well done Amanda and I hope that it lives up to your expectations

Last night was excellent and the orchestra gave it some real oomph. The O2 is a great venue and getting in and out was a doodle. I was home indoors an hour and 10 minutes after the last song, about 50 miles away

Good to hear you enjoyed it. I've seen Bruce at The O2 and like it as a venue and prefer that to stadium shows but tickets are nigh on impossible if he plays smaller venues.

Have seen Bruce so many times and even travelled to the US to see him play. Only ever been slightly disappointed when he does solo stuff but even then wouldn't miss it. Not sure what the new album will contain as unlikely to be out until next year. It will be the first tour without "The Big Man" on saxophone which will seem strange and also poignant but I'm just glad he's touring with the band again as each time I think it could be the last.

Yes, we got all 6 on live nation, by 9.10. I thought we would only be able to get 4 per booking, it was a doddle.

I've never seen him, but one of the lads seen him on the 1985 tour up at St.James's park, which was on the born in the USA tour - he said it was great. So looking forward to it, it's good that it is on a Friday night also.

Just need to sort transport from Wirral/Liverpool for 6 of us now. I'm still young enough to go in the GA also, might need a half time bovril though, to keep the chill out!!!

I'll also be heading over for the Carling cup semi, as long as we get about 5,000 tickets. I'll stick 2 fingers up at you, if you like. Only joking.

Excellent and you are in for a treat as Bruce live is stunning and 3 hours of solid energy. Better off in GA as when he played the Emirates I was asked repeatedly to sit down so moved to a section who were there to have fun.

Bruce at The Etihad - the things my best dreams are made of :-)

As for the footie - we have bigger fish to fry this season :p
