Hi all,

I found a 17deg 2H Callaway Heavenwood snapped in half in the trees. So took it home!

Now, here's the question. Do I pay £35-40 to get it re-shafted with a decent shaft and grip (having never tried it, but apparently they're good) or do I get a Wilson fybrid or Mizuno fly-hi or something in a sale for around £70-80?

Decisions, decisions! And yes, I know I'm going against all my previous posts advising people to try before buying.

Ta!

Do titleist make a 910 version - you could continue your love afair!
Or get on ebay and find a pulled shaft.....
Then you'll be able to hit it every other time like me!

Personally I'd go with a Mizzy Fli-Hi. My 2 iron is great and I feel more comfortable hitting a ball with that than I do a gigantic big toe.

I can hit hybrids, but not with the ease and consistency that some people can.

Hi mate,

They do, but my god they're expensive! I'd love to get one, but just can't afford it. Hence my thought about re-shafting the Heavenwood.

The less said about your pulled shaft, the better! :D

shaft it try it and if its no good flog it, your never going to be out of pocket. now buying one at £80 and not liking it is a different cattle of fish...

* note, never understood that saying "

As in fish kettle for cooking fish :D

In personally can't hit a hybrid or any wood but I do hear good reports on the fybrid, and obviously the Fli-Hi is a work of art

It's now at CT Golf and is having a Dynamic Gold SL regular steel shaft with a Callaway grip. For £27.

Bargain! Picking it up next weekend.
