Decent golf books ?

I really enjoyed "The big miss" by Hank Haney, too.

I'm reading an older one at the mo, "In search of the Tiger. A golfing odyssey" by Ian Sandford, which is pretty good.

Also, I really, really liked "Golf is not a game of perfect" and "Putting out of your mind" by Dr Bob Rotella.

Off to France for a couple of weeks next week, any recommendations for decent holiday golf reads ?

The Forbidden Game: Golf & the Chinese Dream - Dan Washburn

18 In America: A Young Golfer's Epic Journey to Find the Essence of the Game - Dylan Dethier

Afternoons with Mr.Hogan: A Boy. A Golf Legend & the Lessons of a Lifetime - Jody Vasquez

Mr. Hogan: The Man I Knew - Kris Tschetter

Good grief... is it holiday season again already? This topic is as good an indicator as departing swallows are for autumn...

Bung "No hiding in the open" on to your list as well as the previous suggestions

Anything golf-related by John Feinstein. The Majors, A Good Walk Spoiled, The Open, Tales from Q School, Why I got banned from this forum (OK so the last one isn't published yet)

Tommy's Honour - Cracking book this one. It's the story of old Tom Morris and golf 150 odd years ago.
Caddie for Life - The story of Tom Watson's life long caddie and his battle with ALS (or Lou Gehrig's Disease). Emotional and inspirational.
Preferred lies is supposed to be good but I haven't got round to reading it yet.

Definitely a +1 for Feinsteins books. Okay, so A Good Walk Spoiled refers to events of many year ago, but he does write well and brings the trials and tribulations of the pro to life.
