Mentioned a while back that my 17 year old daughter was looking to buy her first car. (can't find thread to add to
) She was looking at a VW Polo, but couldn't find one she liked. Started to look at an alternative, and we found at a local garage, a three year old Seat Ibiza 1.4 sport in bright yellow.
Lovely looking car inside and out, and despite being a sport model was only insurance group 3 compared to group 4 for the Polo. Managed to get a comprehensive insurance quote of £1300 which is a lot cheaper than the VW. Car tax is less as well. The car has just been serviced and had the cam belt done. Has a 5 star safety rating.
My daughter is a qualified swimming teacher, and has saved up the money to buy the car herself. Now she just needs to pass her test at the end of this month.
