Hi,
so i am looking for a new pair of shoes i currently have footjoy synr-gs which i like but other than those i have only had a pair of dunlops so i dont have to much experience with golf shoes. so to the question what are you fav golf shoes and why?

Depends on your budget really. I had a pair of Adidas Tour 360 LTD and were great but after a hard season of golf they needed replaced. I just got a pair of Adidas Adipure shoes and look and feel very comfortable but not wore them on the course yet so will let you know when i play my next round. Cant go wrong with any of the Footjoys either so get what you like the look of really.

My last 3 pairs have been Nike air ones mate, tw 8.5, elite and just got a free pair of air classic as my elite bubble burst. But they are extremely comfortable from the word go. :)

Shop around. A lot of places are doing last years dryjoys for between ^0 and £70 which is great value and FJ's have always been great straight from the box. A lot of guys on here reckon the aqualites are also good and not very expensive. I've had real trouble with adidas in terms of getting a good fit, breaking in and leaking and never liked the look of Ecco, Puma or Nike

I have 2 pairs of Classics Premier Dry, which I got at bargain prices in Florida, and I also have a pair of the Adidas Tour 360 Ltd.

The Tour 360's are simply uber-comfortable, absolutely like slippers, and have been straight out of the box. I wouldnt hesitate to get another pair. As for lasting, this will be their 3rd season, and they are still pristine, but they dont get much use in the winter to be fair.

The Classics are simply that, superbly made and ultra stable Golf shoes. However, they are heavier, and do take some wearing in, and for that kind of money, you have to be prepared to look after them and make sure they last.
Not the kind of thing that will cope well with any winter use either, the leather will take a hammering.
I know an ex-pro who has some, and they have done him nearly 10yrs, and got comfier with age.

Both equally superb buys, the Tour 360's a more modern twist on the Golf Shoe, but the Classics are ageless, and fan-bleedin-tastic.

For all-year use, you maybe better with some Dryjoy's, but for summer, both would be great choices.

I have 3 pairs of classics. None of which are remotely water proof. That said, I love all of them.

I have a pair of classic tours (rubber sole but same leather as classic premiers). Still leak like a tea bag. Not so keen. Look like army boots.

I have 2 pr dryjoys. These are the best golf shoes around for the money. Cannot be beaten. Tried the rest, bought the best.

Also have a pair of Churches. These are made to order, and I will never know if they are waterproof, as I will never wear them in the wet.

Quite like the look of the FJ icons, but with 7 pairs on the go already, it will be a while before I buy a new pair, and I would still question if they are as waterproof as dryjoys.

Here's a tip. Dryjoys. Best shoes out there.

Got myself a nice pair of footjoys from AG in York last month. So comfortable the first time I wore them they felt like slippers. Best golf shoes Ive worn for years. The service at AG was good aswell.
