Cut...or not??

Changed clubs in Jan, both old and new club use HDID. Got an email from HDID today saying I've been cut by 1 shot, but I haven't played in a comp yet at the new track - suspect may have been cut in old club's annual review - but can this be applied if i'd already moved clubs?

It's up to your new club's match and handicap committee to determine what your handicap is. I presume when you joined you were put on the new club's system based on your handicap from the old club?
You should have been removed from your last club's player list so I would ignore that HDID message.
Might be worth contacting the old club to be asked to be removed from their player records.

It depends on which club is registered as your home club and which is your away club. Your h/cap can only be changed by your home club.

Log on to HDID and look up each clubs handicap list and see if you are listed on both. My guess would be that your old club have not removed you and as you suggest may have cut you on annual review. If this is the case then it would be very honest of you indeed to make your new club aware of this as they may want to take this into account.

New club is my home club so sounds like I could ignore the 'cut' - I'd be delighted to be cut but want to earn it at the new place - will look into both handicap lists - worst case is I ignore it, win the first comp of the season and someone notices a 'discrepancy' - don't want a bandit label either!! Like the refer to new handicap sec idea - thanks chaps
