ok, after 6 years with my current mizunos, i feel the need for a new set of irons, would prefer to stay with mizuno but im open to options,
after a pretty dreadful fitting experience in nevada bobs in perth today im wondering if there are any other options in scotland for custom fit, the mizuno centre in cumbernauld has now gone???

any suiggestions on where to go??

There's always he whose name must not be spoken........

OK Scott gourlay at craigmiller park in Edinburgh. I'm not 100% sure that he does mizunos tho. Highly regarded on here and that's where I got fitted.

If I remember right you're in a sort of golfing blackspot geographically aren't you. Glasgow is probably going to be your nearest place with 'options'. Or if you were to travel East, Carnoustie Golf Shop seem to give a good Mizuno fitting service.

Sorry can't gicve any recommendations for fitting in Glasgow, but someone else must have been fitted there and are bound to add to this.

hope you find what you're looking for.

As above two posts have said, Scott Gourlay in Edinburgh or Kurt Mungal at Lothianburn are both good fitters in my neck of the woods.

il travel anywhere within reason lads, anywhere in scotland is no problem, as long as i get the right fitting and service.

how was your fitting at scott gourlay mate, how much does he take etc??

AG have the Mizuno national fitters doing demo days next week in central belt- check website for locations near you and to book a slot

I'm suspicious of a certain place and would do some research.

Wilson Staff have a fantastic facility in Irvine and you obviously have the Titleist fitting and the Taylor Made fitting.

This man talks sense about the Wilson centre. Couple of guys I work with have used them and gave them hugely positive review.

It's the only time I've been fitted but I thought it was good. Spent over an hour trying different head and shaft combos on the track man before settling on the R11s. Affordability was a factor - some of the possibilities were out of my price range.

It's definitely more expensive than buying them off the shelf.... but I'm pretty happy overall and certainly like the clubs.

Took a wee trip to Edinburgh today and spoke to scot gourlay, seems a knowledgable lad with a bit of zest in him therefor I have made a booking to get fitted by him.
Head through for my fitting on Friday!

Thanks!
