Well i finally got a game in yesterday at seaham golf course which i've never played before and it's a cracking little course. It was pretty wet and on winter tee's/greens but it was only £10 so can't complain.

Played pretty well and scored 34 points with 3 blobs, the highlight of the day was still manageing to par a par 4 even though i i played 3 off the tee! It was only a short par4 that was only playing about 230 yards. Smashed my first drive high, wide and right out of bounds, so played another off the tee and let rip with anger after my first bad tee shot. The ball went flying straight down over the fairway marker as it was a blind uphill tee shot. Walking up to the green i still couldn't see my ball and was worried it had gone in the bunker but it had managed to thread between 2 bunkers and ended up pin high and about 4 foot left on the pin. So ended up knocking the putt in for a par and 3 points :)

So all in all i really enjoyed the day and was suprised how well i played considering the lack of golf and playing on a new course which i normally struggle to do.

So today i have a walk to the shop to try get rid of my new year hangover and pick a copy of GM. Got home and had a scan through then got the shock of my life as my little review of my new ping putter is in the magazine!
:)

Didn't expect it at all and i'm propper chuffed, it's even made my hangover ease abit.

So i've had a good end to the year and a cracking start to the new year.

Happy new year everyone and thanks to GM for printing my litte review.

Yup and it would have been my first ever one aswell. Deffo have to go back to that course again and try not to hit my first drive into the farmers field!

Played around my home 9 hole par 33 course today. Home in 44 for the second time in a row.

Given that my current handicap is 27, I'm hoping to keep the momentum going so I can get a decent cut come our Winter League in February!
