Courses around York area ??

Im on a training Course in York until Friday . Probably wont be able to start until 4-5pm . what courses are recommend , more importantly ones to avoid
My HI is 19.2 friend is 9.8

The obvious one is Fulford. If you have time drive 45 mins to Ganton, top 100 course in the world.

Both expensive mind you.

Malton & Norton or Strensall are both nice tracks without a premium price tag.

Milton and Norton. Three 9s - should help to get a suitable tee time. Nice course.

Pike Hills not my favourite course, it has an awkward finish where the last three holes cross each other.

Enjoyed Pike Hills when we played. Not the most testing of courses, pretty flat but enjoyable. Yes, the last few holes are a bit over and across but didn't think it impacted the round enjoyment.

Played the the back 9 at Pike hills tonight . A few varied holes, the cross over holes at the end wasnt a problem . The only down side was a few of the greens were in poor condition ,maybe be it was reflected in the price
