My father-in-law is 86 and is coming to stay for a week over Christmas. He still plays 3 times a week but struggles a little with his mobility especially at this time of year.

I want to take him out for a round at a nice course that accepts visitors that is not too undulating and not too wet. He will also need to hire a motorised trolley.

I live in Wandsworth and I'm happy to drive about an hour to get the course so probably looking at somewhere around Surrey and would appreciate any suggestions that may fit the bill.

Much much roughly are you looking to spend on green fees. Heading down the A3 gives you lots of options from fairly cheap to mortgage your house.

If looking for something special the 3 Ws are all easy walking

During winter the fees should be reduced,
Personally I would have a look at Woking.
Easy walking course that’s always in good condition.

I would check though before and make sure they were on proper tees and greens.

They are also a 2 ball course but have different times/days when 3 balls are allowed

For a cheap quick round, I first thought about Thames Ditton & Esher because of its proximity. 9 hole course, 2 sets of tees, absolutely dead flat and shortish.

But I've not been there in over 25 years, so hopefully others have more recent knowledge.

Otherwise lots of excellence along the A3. Woking mentioned is great, West Hill or Worplesdon worth a visit too. Not too tough a walk either.
