Course recommendations

Hi All

I’m looking for some course recommendations please?

I live in Walsall West Midlands and my friend lives in Stratford upon Avon. We’re looking to meet up somewhere near halfway for a round.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I enjoyed Kings Norton, not an overly long track but you'll still need your A game to beat par.

We had a mini tour round Kings Norton, Ladbrooke Park and Fulford Heath a couple of years ago. All were decent courses.

Nearer Stratford, Leamington & County was fun too

Shirley GC in Soliull just off the M42 is about 1/2 way for both. There's a Winter Warmer on Weekday mornings for £35 which includes Soup and Sandwiches. Good value for a nice course. It's playing shorter off some winter tees but all greens are on. I know someone previously posted about snobby members but I would completley disagree with this as nearly all I have met have been very friendly
