Course recommendation near Manchester

Reddish vale is a decent track, I've played it a couple of times.
It's an Mackenzie course so expect tricky Greens. It's a nice layout quite varied, mainly set in a valley with the river Tame meandering through.

If I remember rightly The 18th is up a seriously steep hill back up to the clubhouse.

northeden is a good track and nice and friendly bunch, food is good and not expensive, have you tried WORSLEY top top track and close to motorway exit.

Hazel Grove is my home course you wont be disappointed speak to James the pro he will sort you out. the course will be in good condition and even better by Thursday. Northenden will be very wet I played a neighboring course the other day which was very, very wet. I would not bother with Houldsworth or Heaton Moor both get very wet too. I have heard that Reddish is in good nick the only thing that puts me off is the 18th

Four of those are in Stockport. I play at Heaton Moor which is a nice course, very tight and pretty tricky but flat and not too long. It's also not wet! Reddish Vale is a very nice course as is Northenden, in fact you wouldn't go wrong at any of them. Hazel Grove is abit further out.

I've played all the courses you listed in the last few months (member at Houldsworth). Personally I would go for Hazel Grove, Reddish Vale or Houldsworth, just cos I think they're a bit more varied but all 5 are nice courses and you won't go far wrong with any of them.

I played Northenden yesterday and it was completely dry so that shouldn't be a factor

Which Worsley? The Marriott, or the one in Monton? Both close to the motorway and both great courses.... Ellesmere is good too, as is Swinton Park :-)

Played it last year with society and every1 was very impressed with the course...

You drive through back streets n houses to get to it,you wouldnt think there was a course there but what a pleasant surprise...

Its not all drive n iron to green, quite a few of the holes you have to plot your way around,so iron off tee to put you in good position for next shot..
Greens where nice and overall course is well looked after and good green fees, sure you will enjoy it..
