Course Reciprocals

We (Dunbar) get half price deals at most other East Lothian clubs.
We can also play Goswick, Barassie and Roxburgh for half price.
No need for a 4 ball.
Ken i take it your a memeber of Dunbar ?, how much do you guys get to play Scotscraig for in the reciprocal deal?

I think some secretaries dont have them, as it is more work for them.

It is a great benefit to members though, and maybe members should ask their clubs to encourage tie ups with other clubs also. It definitely alleviates the boredom of the same course all the time.

We have all the Jewish ones throughout the UK (about 9 iirc), plus another 6-7 locally (within 1-15 miles, which are all free to play during the week.

We also have a lancashire tie up with another 20 odd courses were we can play them for half price during the week.

We have some nice ones including Royal North Devon, Royal Winchester, Caversham Heath, Studley Wood, Basingstoke. Great for weeks like Royal Ascot when the course is shut and we as members can organise our own mini-tours

what's a "Jewish one"?

what's a "Jewish one"?

They make a small incision..........no, let's not.:)

There are a few golf courses round the country which are part of the Association of Jewish golf clubs. Not all the members are Jewish, and in our course, possibly less than 15% are now.

We have about 15 reciprocals, some are free, others cost a few quid. However, being a James Braid course we can also play other James Braid courses for a small fee or for free too.

Wallasey have some good ones

Fairhaven
St Anne's Old links
Southport and Ainsdale
Ormskirk
Pleasington
Sandiway
Conwy
Burnham and Berrow

£20 each but midweek only

We get most clubs in the borders at half price. They have worked out a couple deals at a few for cheaper than that. But if I'm gona play anywhere else I'd rather go play a links.

Seems to be a bigger thing in Scotland than down here by the looks of things, we don't have any hard fast reciprocals, the only thing that happens around here is if the course is closed for a National comp then a few courses in the area allow us to play at there's, buts its limited and spread about and has to be booked through the secretary along with time restrictions, all a bit too much trouble TBH, so if the courses closes I don't play or travel further afield.

We have a reciprocal deal with Bonnyton, just outside Eaglesham on South side of Glasgow. Never played it yet but doesn't cost us anything.
I think they get a better deal as they tend to visit in winter, because we are a links course and more playable, generally, through the winter.

Play it - Bonyton is a cracking course.

It's one of the ones that we get on a reciprocal. I've played it about 10 times, and love playing there.
