So Saturday evening nice weather, reduced green fee nice course I decided to go enjoy.

On for 2 on the 1st Sprinklers come on, pretty annoyed but hey, I'm on for 2 good start. Waited ten mins = par. Long story short this happened on 10 holes, as soon as my ball gets to / near the green SPRINKLERS! If Beadle wasn't 6ft under I'd swear he was in the bushes filming.

Anyway as I'd started well, really well I decided to stick it out. Big test of patience but equalled a PB of +9 Gross. 18th was pretty much in the dark (par 3 island green) so was basically a hit and listen for a splash or a thud.

Quite happy with the tested patience and possibly all the time waiting to putt out was a relaxing calming thing in the end also a nice soft green helps of course. I would have complained but I played well.

Nice one green keepers keep up the bad timing ;)

Splash, or thud? Which was it?

We need to know. Funnily enough I invited a mate as a guest on a Friday afternoon. Got to our short par three eighth and the sprinklers came on to the tee. Why? Had to tee it up, run out of the way and then try and get back in before the next rotation. Suffice to say I missed the green

Fair play, but what happened on the tee shot with the sprinklers?
