We are using the 150 rule at our club to save the fairways as much as possible. The white line runs horizontal at every 150 yd marker and there is one at about 40 yds from the green. If you land between these lines, you must pick up and move to the edge of the fairway and place in the first cut. It's the first time we've tried this during winter and seems to be working ok.Bloody annoying when you are forced to the side and have to play over a bunker. Penalised for hitting a straight drive.
