Normally wouldn't do this but since there's no chance of playing I've resorted to just looking at my clubs. Is that wrong?

They are pretty though.

Started thinking towards the end of last year that I could do with more accuracy than forgiveness in the short sticks, particularly out of the sand. After a VERY long ebay search I just replaced my G15 PW (45*) with a 46* Vokey which gives me 6* gaps between that my MD 52 and Vokey 58, and replaced my G15 SW (54-12) with an honestly pornographic Vega VW-02 with Iomic grip and Shimada shaft (54-10).

Someone on the forum explained why I felt I couldn't get as much control out of the SW as I wanted to, cos the sole of the G15 is so wide if you start opening the clubface the effective bounce goes crazy high, no such problems with the grind of the Vega. I just hope it's not too much club for me but I've always been pretty confident in the sand so hopefully I'll rise to it. Might even start using it off the turf while its wet, though I prefer my low (4*) bounce 58 off the hard sandy turf at ours in summer.

The Vokeys still got its wrapper on, the Vega bought from a PGA pro, and all for the princely sum of £101 total. Ebay is great if you have the patience for it.

Can't wait to get out there and try these beauties out :)

God is this what the snow has reduced me to?

I'm looking at "potential" new wedges to go with my "potential" new irons

Mizzy T4 wedges, but cannot decide if I prefer black nickel or chrome :mmm:

MP63 irons BTW

i am going mental myself. how much did you get the vokey for on its own?

nice wedges :D

Someone on here said he felt like Jack Nicholson in the Shining, pretty much summed it up.

Watched a lot of them go for £80 ish, this was £60 posted, not bad - even the grip is still in it's wrapper! There's not many 46* Vokeys going around, lovely one on at the moment with a project x6.0 shaft, could go for anything just depends how trigger happy people are days before the auction end.

I know, the Vega was dirt cheap, guy made the mistake of ending the auction early Saturday morning alongside a matching 48* and I guess folk thought whoever had bid high on that was going to come in for the 54 too, lazy sod must have been in bed. I wasn't :)

Ha ha, we were all spending your money yesterday bud, fair play to you! Sad to see grown men living vicariously through another mans windfall by hypothetically buying sticks.

You did this snow. You did this. I hope you're proud.

ive bought

an old titleist 3 wood (dont need)
an old titlesist 503h (wanted for quite some time)
aldila rip shaft for 910 driver ( want to try out)
various grips (wedges all regripped)

the spending has to stop! woke up this morning to more feckin snow :(

Vega wedge looks really good

Yeah was in this pros practice bag so as you can see didn't get trashed.

His buddy is a major distributor for Vega, offered to put me in touch if I was ever in the market for more wedges/irons. Can't see myself getting there this year but nice of him to offer.

Love the Y-grind, classy stuff. The K-grind looks like a weapon, I'm sure in the right hands it is!

This snow is killing everyones bank accounts. Love the look of that Vega wedge and the Miura's are golfing porn. My total to date whilst the snow has been here is Mizuno JPX800's £299, Cleveland Mashie Hybrid £69, G15 Driver head £35, Motore F3 Shaft £40+grip £8. So £451 because Im bored!!! and I keep looking at Scotty Camerons-shoot me now

Ha ha, I've done quite well by comparison then! Suggestion for the Scottys is if you're going to pay that much for a putter go have yourself fitted for the right one, then I'll have your Odyssey 7 and everything will be fine ;)

Ha, its bad isnt it? Had a Scotty Del Mar before but strangely got on better with my Black Tour #9. The #7 wont be going anywhere for a long time yet;)

Nice one, just kidding I'm happy with my #5, if I miss I reckon its me. Looks like thaw next week, should mean range open at least, might take the edge off.

nice looking wedges.

I have just shifted 400 quids worth of spares and bought a £50 quid putter... thats bloody good going for me!

the fact I cant play for another 4 weeks or so helps though :)

I can guarantee that once you hit the y and k grind miuras, you will never go back.

The k grind is just simply something else!
