Considering new wedges

Check out Icy Golf wedges, I have 3 and they are great. Because of the raw metal they are made from you can go back to him and Iain sand blasts them and they are brand spanking new again. He's not far from you and he gives a quality custom fit session with you. Best wedges I've had and I've used Vokeys and Clevelands.

Thanks for the Icy recommendations, just been all over there website and it all looks very impressive, only up the road so going to give them a call and get some more details 😎

I remember someone (assume it was you) who put up a big review of the process and after sale service and it sounded perfect. Too far away from me to consider sadly

i think it was needmywedge who posted and from his review decided to go to him, it's a 2hr drive for me but worth it. He not only access what you need but actually helps you out with technique and how to play certain shots within your assessment. He plays off scratch himself, you used to go to his club 20miles from his home but has know got a Huxley green in his back garden with a bunker as well. The beauty I like is that they come up brand new with sand blasting and I've had them done by him but think in the long run be cheaper if I bought the gear to do it myself........ But I'm off on a club fitting course next week to learn more about club fitting and will think about it after.

I've got a couple that have been used for 1 round if you want to have a play with them first to see if you like them.

He also gets the Lamkin Classic grips which are fantastic, and are extremely hard to find but he knows Lamkin personally and supplies to him..

I don't see the point in these posts. The op asks a question and just about every wegde on the market gets recommended?

They're all good. They have to be to stay competitive. Choose one that suits your eye and start ripping em back

Better than a slow play post..... Turns out someone suggested ICY that the op had not considered to that point and he is checking it out. It was suggest some validity to the post.

I recently changed mine, went to a local privately owned golf shop, he let me hit Cobra Tour Trustys, Ping Glides, Callaway Mack Daddy's, Cleveland 2.0 and Vokeys. Honestly they where all nice but there was just something about the Vokeys and that's what I ended up with.

Wedges are like banana's, they go off after a wee while. Definitely change them. Vokey's for me every time, especially with the seemingly unlimited choices for bounce etc.

You should change your wedges every year if you play regularly throughout the season. The spin decreases rapidly the more you use them. Stick your one year old ones on eBay each year and you can still get a reasonable price for them.

Won't go wrong with the latest Callaway Mack Daddy (3?).

Without doubt on that...... And posts that critise others on their spending what they do in golf. Fed up of it!

i never heard of Icy golf wedges until I joined here. So yes some posts get repeated because newcomers what to ask and know, and this is a source of info for those who wish to give it.

I like the sound of the Icy wedges but I'm too lazy and not quite bothered enough to travel that far.

Always fancied some exotic Japanese wedges aswell, Yururi etc, one day maybe.

Only tried the usual suspects but Bridgestone are my personal choice. Loving the J40's I've got and like the look of the J15 ones aswell.

I thought it was G1BBO who'd posted that.

Cheers Gary, I wouldn't mind looking at them in the flesh and having a play with them before getting in touch with them, what are they and how can I go about getting them off you?

More like never heard of Alex, so well worth posting.
