They are changing the rules so that all flags are removed completely now to remove any problems/issues for people.....

The England Golf announcement doesn't say specifically but it does say "Under strict COVID-19 controls" for competition golf until 21 June. I wouldn't be surprised if the "flag stays in, no rakes allowed" restirctions all remain until June.

Let's hope not.

When my course opened after Lockdown 2 bookings were only available for singles and two balls before 7am to allow for a "quicker round" as they put it. It's only a pay and play course but the system worked well and I could complete around in a leisurely 2hrs 15 minutes. Not sure if they will repeat the exercise. I'll play in a fourball if needed but there always seems to be one foghorn in the group mouthing off about football, politics and kids, of which I have no real interest, and my concentration is shot well before the end of the round.
