Conditions of competition.

That may be fine for the original doc. But when it's subsequently used for a stand-alone CofC doc, then certain paras may/probably need to be adjusted!

It's not a criticism - just a suggestion/trying to help! I had to audit all the CofCs for the club I ran comps at when they were 'lost', so have experienced the pain of setting them up!

It wasn't/isn't intended to be a standalone CoC doc. It is simply part of a club policy document.
As I have said there is a completely separate CoC document as described in the appendix to the RoG. As it happens it contains very little.

The first sentence of this must surely be a 'note to competitors' only - with the actual requirement, to give way to competitors in a competition, being published as a 'Rule of the Club'!
This is because these 'Conditions of Competition' (only) apply to competitors in the competition and NOT (unless specified elsewhere) to folk not in the competition!

I had to read a few times, but you're right, thanks for that.

Reading on here over the years, it's become apparent that "disputes" often arise in terms of how competitions are run - such as when is a card considered returned, or when is a competition considered closed, or who actually is the committee in terms of settling disputes over rules or procedure? So the question is; are these things that should be written down in a conditions of competition document? And if so, does your club have such a thing? (I'm pretty sure we don't)

Ps I realise rules section might not the right place for this, so Mods feel free to move as appropriate)

Yes,Obviously. It should be there for better gaming transparency.
