Hi,

First post after reading through this forum for ages!!

After a 18 year break I'm addicted to golf at 30 and desperate to upgrade my Dunlop golf shoes!!

Any good suggestions as I'm sick of aching and soaking feet by the 12th!!

I wore Dunlop shoes until recently until I damaged them trying to get the spikes out. They were only about £20 and I thought they were comfortable and was going to buy another pair. That was until I tried Footjoy Contours, about 3 times the price but so comfortable they made the Dunlops feel like wooden clogs.

Sorry, missed the bit about being under £50.

Nike Heritage shoes are very good for the money, got mine for £25! I wore them for the first time at Monifieth Links the other day in a heavy downpour and they were comfy and watertight.

I've found cheaper Nike shoes comfy but a little narrow towards the toe and not good in heavy rain.

I also had Footjoy Greenjoys. They were very good. Stayed water proof for a year before a small split in the upper started letting it in. Paid £30 for them and sold them for £15 to a guy I'd lent them to at a society outing. He found them so comfy he wanted them himself. Footjoy AQL's are also worth looking at.

Comfy, Waterproof and under £50??

Try a pair of slippers, and stay indoors.

Alternatively, if you want to go play golf, buy a decent pair of shoes and stop being such a pikey.

:) Bit harsh fella that, newbie as well not the warmest of welcomes;) Anyway if you look at Old models or past seasons collections you can find some good buys if you know where to look.

are you just trolling?- you've also put a personal attack on a post of mine for no reason! we are all here for one reason so a bit of civility and empathy for fellow forum members without the inflammatory or confrontational comments would be appreciated by us all I'm sure.
Thank you.

Welcome, Phil. I paid £39 for a pair of Footjoy Greenjoys at JJB Sports. Waterproof guarantee for a year. Seriously comfortable, just like a pair of slippers, in fact. :)
Shop around as there are plenty of bargains out there.
