I have been looking at this driver for the past few weeks, i am a high handicapper, well not even got one yet, lol.
I normally score around 100 on the course sometimes into the 90's, have only been playing for a couple of months and wondering if this driver has much forgivness and is ideal for a beginner. Currently i have a top flight driver with 14 degree of loft and a regular flex shaft which i hit around 200 yards sometimes a little more.

It is between the l5v or the s9-1.

Which would you pick?

I tried the L5V this summer when I bought my driver. I thought it was ok but the Cobra S2 was far better and I bought that instead.

Go to your local pro shop and try a few out and see what you find out is best for you. :)
Good luck! :)

Out of interest why is it out of these two. There are loads of good drivers out there (the K15 would be ideal for you) that are designed for higher handicappers (and not necessarily draw biased). I think you may be missing a trick

I think both of those driver's can be had cheap these days Homer.
Apologies if not Oakey. If you are looking at cheaper/noneedtobethelatest kit. take a look at the Benross offerings and MD stuff too.

I'd pick the L5V even as a low H/C player.
I tried one and the light shaft and forgiving head combo make this a great club.

Get one with the Diamana Red Board shaft over others. Great lightweight shaft.

Was mainly the price that is swaying me towards those drivers. The l5v can be had for £100 and the s9-1 around £70 from one place i know.

I tried the Cobra when I bought my Ping and the Ping felt much nicer and went further. With the K15 coming in to replace the Rapture they'll tumble in price over the next few months so there may be bargains out there.

how much should i be looking at paying for a Rapture V2?
I have seen one for £169.99 but that does not include fitting :(
