Not that I can remember, but I played with a guy years ago who was on another level. It was whenni first started and played at fairways in Inverness. He was the Regimental Sargent major at fort George. He was a good player, but had a real temper, I saw him lose two putters in the pound by 5th I think it was, in consecutive rounds and a wedge up a tree it probably would have been more but he was head hunted by the Australian army and moved there. Was a lovely guy, apart from when he hit a bad shot.
I did a long long time ago but not anymore. I’m now more of a whack the ground with the club person. Usually a wedge in the winter when the ground is soft and a finesse shot was chunked or thinned. Always toe down. It’s amazing how far I can bury it when the ground is wet
