Cleveland Fitting: New Shineys have arrived!

Thanks to GM and Cleveland once again for my fitting a couple of weeks back. I came home tonight to see that my brand new custom fitted clubs have arrived!

I so so cannot wait to get out and try them now... almost tempted to take a sickie tomorrow lol

Once played in earnest this weekend, I shall provide a proper write up of playability etc

Whats going on with the 4 & 5 irons? They seem very hybrid-ish..

Specs:

Cleveland 588 irons, a "combo" set if you will. The 588 irons have been designed to be interchangeable with each other. 3 sets in the family, TT, MT and Altitude. All same lofts etc so you can mix and match for the perfect set for you.

I have PW to 6 iron in MT (all 2*flatter) and the 4 & 5 iron in the Altitude which is kind of like a hybrid iron. Fantastic set of clubs, so easy to hit, and plenty of forgiveness too. I especially like the hybrid type clubs, they should be fun to play with. I was totally led by the fitter, had no preconceived ideas about looks or ability etc, I simply swung the clubs and let him guide me.

That way, I know i have the perfect set to suit me right now. I think that having the clubs more flat will likely see immediate improvements as previously all my clubs were heel only on the ground so i was only really using half the club face to hit the ball with.

Really looking forward to using them on the course now (and the driving range too first i guess. I should really try to have a rough work out of my distances first...)

Yea thats exactly what they are. A hybrid type iron. Designed to help get the ball in the air, with a little added weight, much like a hybrid. Granted they dont look like your traditional clubs, but I for one will happily use something which helps my game, so will see what theyre like on the course. They were a dream to hit at the fitting
