The Copa America is the South American version of the Euros.

The copa is a relevant FIFA recognised tournament. Olympics has no standing in that level. Messi does have one though I suppose. But for me that's clutching at straws. A WC Ronaldo has the better record. He's also got Portugal in the 3/4 play off which isn't too bad.

But I'm sure most sports stars other than athletes and they'd take a major over Olympics.

in major tournaments. WC, euro and copA. CopA IMO being the ever so slightly weaker if the 3. Messi has 3 goals in 18 games. ronaldo has 8 in 24. Whilst neither have set the world alight, Ronaldo has clearly produced the goods more frequently.

This is argument as you've mentioned will circle and circle, although my original point was simply that Ronaldo would get I to any team and any fan would take him. Still awaiting your facts as to why he would t get in at Liverpool.

Real Ronaldo performed on all stages including internationally by taking his country and winning the WC twice ( once he was a squad player ) as well as another final ( in his three world cups ) on top of his domestic honours

Fake Ronaldo has won trophies domestically but hasn't done anything of note on the international stage - that still makes him the fake Ronaldo ( IMO ).

It's as simple as that for me

I said I believe he wouldn't fit in with the club - ability wise yes but just don't think he would fit in - believe my club is about team ethics and spirit as opposed to single mindedness. No space for the "superstar" "galactico" attitude.

In 1994 Ronaldo got zero minutes playing time. They have even said since he went for the experience. He may have a medal, but he did nithing to help them win it.

I do agree that the original Ronaldo should be dismissed as I said earlier. But unless your also saying that Ronaldo is a better player than messi. Pushing your own parameters then I still think it's your dislike for the player that your np basing you assume not of his ability on.

Portugal in the last decade have had teams full of talented players and still do now - big players at big clubs with countless title winners.

thats cleared that up. It appeared that you just wouldn't take him at all.

You our also said he took Brazil to and won 2 world cups. He may have two medals. But he didn't contribute in anyway in 94. Unless water carrying duties are considered a major assistance.

And.....Portugal don't win anything. How well their players perform in the World's leagues is irrelevant. As a team they don't perform - they only have 3-4 "World-Class" players, you don't win International Tournaments with a team of also-rans. England are in a similar boat - a few decent players but not enough to mount a serious challenge.
Some of the best players in the World have not performed on the biggest stages because their Nationality decrees that they're either not going to get there in the first place or they're simply making up numbers - George Best is the perfect example of this - by your definition a "fake" player as he never performed at big tournaments....

i was mocking your harassment of other members previously. The subject has changed slightly, but I believe I was after facts for why you wouldn't take Ronaldo at Liverpool. You gave lots of good reasons but no actual facts to it. Anyways, you've since said Gould take him just third. Which is fair eniugh. I'd suggest the facts would warrant him being at list 2nd on the list or Suarez, messi and Ronaldo. But he's that's only my opinion. Based on messi and Ronaldo have far superior records.
