Who has played this course? It's totally mad and built on top of a large hill. It starts off with three very uphill par-3's and finishes with a very downhill par-3. Most of the rest of the holes are par-4's with two more par-3's and no par-5's, and it's just over 5000 yards long. I've seen it described as where golf meets fell walking, and it seems most suitable for mountain goats and sheep (which graze all over it). I have seen some old guys playing there, but this must be Darwian survival of the fittest! However it has got excellent greens.

I've played it, and you may even find it was me who described it as 'where golf meets fell-walking' in the resulting feature!

First three holes are indeed extraordinary - the 1st an almost impossible par 3 up that steep bank - but once you get out on top, what an exhilarating feeling amid some of the most stunning golf course backdrops anywhere.

I really enjoyed it, but you will certainly find yourself out of breath at some stage however fit you are!
