Neil was on BBC news this morning explaining what we know - his dad is getting an hour a day out of the cell, he never left the UK while the business deal was being conducted, his fears that bail will be denied etc. Gave a very composed and eloquent interview. Keep strong Tappers

Just seen Tappers on BBC Breakfast this morning so at least the issue isn't going away now Mr Tappin has been extradited.

Lets be frank, once he was on the plane the Americans are never going to send him back until the've finished their judicial (and flawed) process

As this case has the potential to open up the previous review into the wider extradition procedures I have more hope that bail will be permitted at this time than might otherwise be the situation.

I can't comment on their flawed, or otherwise, judicial process.

It's totally to aid the prosecution secure a plea bargain. Never been a fan of the US judicial system and this is a case in point. How you can deny him bail is beyond me! The whole thing is disgraceful

Where do they think he will flee to - somewhere without an extradition treaty with the US. Syria? Iran? No , I don't think he would either. More likely is the UK and we have handed him over without seeing any evidence!!

The problem is, they won't be ashamed of themselves. They probably don't even care. That's what makes me the most angry.

they would probably care on an individual level, The problem being it's too easy to hide behind committees and existing policy. It's almost too hard for an individual to make a difference.

That said they must realise that sending everyone a generic mass produced response looks like they just don't care. The key thing now will be keeping this in the public eye & not letting it get buried.

This just really is not justice, whatever the apparent facts of the case are, that presumably someone in teh US thinks they have.

Could we do a citizen's arrest and extraditrion of Barack Obama for crimes against any countries they have invaded in the past decade and chuck him into Strangeways without bail or evidence ?


Agreed, we need to make sure this is kept on the MP's agenda somehow
