Cheap golf trips to Spain?

I was looking at the golf holiday sites yesterday because of having no chance to play and fed up of being cold!

I didn't write down any specifics but just googled 'golf holiday' and went to a few different sites.

They were starting around £150 for 3 nights and 2 games, but I guess you have to sort your own flights and transfers out.

Sounds appealing though looking out the window!!

Went to the golf show yesterday courtesey of golf monthly and plenty of holidays on offer, got a leaflet for this one ?

I can only dream.
Just used all but 2 of my days for this year. Took 5 days off because they needed using up!

Would have been nice to have jetted off somewhere nice and warm instead of freezing my butt off here.

Alhaurin is a very good course, and if there's heavy rain then it will definitely be open as it's up in the mountains, unlike Mijas, Santana and La Cala further down towards the coast. The downside is that it will still be very wet and a bit boggy - don't think they've ever heard of closing the course to let it dry out!! I've played it a few times when I've been rained off the courses I've mentioned and the course should've been closed.

As it's in the mountains you can expect a few holes where you stand on the tee and have no idea how you hit the fairway!! On the 1st I hit my drive about 100 yards right up into the scrub and just watched it bounce back down the hill and into the middle of the fairway!

It's a tough walk so buggies will probably be the order of the day. Clubhouse is good with nice food. Not much else to do up around there so you can expect it to be very quiet.

Played that bloody course about 12 years ago it must have just been open ,they had a portacabin and no clubhouse, when the we told the taxi driver where we were going he just laughed and pointed to the top of the mountain,he laughed all the way there.

When we got there no buggies or trolleys so we carried ,never again will i play that course its tighter than a photo finish in parts, designed by Seve ,bloody cheek if you ask me.

It's improved a fair bit since then chaps! The clubhouse is really good with lovely views of the Mijas mountains. I think the course is now very good, but not as good as it's competitors in the area. Only played it a couple of years ago as everywhere else was closed due to heavy rain.
