In what way could the EUs negotiators use a knowledge of our timeline to triggering Art50 against the UK in any damaging way? So for instance they might see slippage in concluding agreement of objectives - but they would not know which objective(s) were proving difficult. When might you expect our MPs to have visibility of our objectives then - because they are most probably going to have to have that. I'll guess 6th March.

Maybe it best to be a little more direct with you than try to use logic.

Who cares a toss (other than you) what the timelines are, you seem to be confusing your work systems with something that has no similarity. Do you not wonder why you are the only person asking these stupid questions. Try getting real with the situation, dropping your irrelevant project manager's hat and wait for the people that are tasked with the job to get on with it.

I think the PM is either desperately dull or quietly efficient! Don't know which. Had a chat with a pal who has had dealings with her and he she was "no fool" and kept then on their toes...

The delay in triggering Article 50 is either to get the ducks lined up (hence extend the 2 year window) OR a way of allowing time for the Remainers to block it - take your pick!

I'm not sure you should be using 31st March as your deadline to judge Theresa May. Unless you were talking about 31st March 2019. That could be a much more appropriate date to judge her on.

I only use 31st March 2017 as a date, as by then we will know how effective and truthful May is being at the moment. If she and DEXEU have obviously got a team, plan and strategy sorted for the negotiations then it will be hats off to her (I will not eat my hat if that is the case)

And what kind of seismic experience are you expecting on the 31st March! The activation of A50 will probably be a dull day whereby some kind of letter will be handed over to some kind of EU Mandarin from some kind of UK Mandarin.

Well by 31st March we'll have most likely had visibility of, and debate on, the objectives. And we'll hopefully be triggering Art50.

If you believe we will be given visibility and debate of the objectives then dont hold your breath, the best you can expect there will be vague outline thats not much more than Brexit means Brexit.

I thought that that was what MPs were promised when they voted - if all they get is Brexit means Brexit then - oh whatever...
