Our new PM has been at the helm steering the good ship SS UK for 6 months now.

Has anyone spotted even a hint of personality or charisma and have the slightest clue about what she stands for?

Nah? Me neither...

She's been disappointing, I won't dispute that, but do you need charisma to be good at your job? I'm more interested in results in parliament and the country than watching a political version of X-Factor.

Probably one of our better Home Secretaries, but very disappointing as a PM.

I know what you mean and personality isn't necessarily the be all and end all, but it never goes amiss in the vote-winning, gripping and grinning party-image boosting stakes.

For me she seems insular, awkward around people and almost mute when it comes to letting the masses know what she is thinking or intending to do for the country.

Sadly I think that she is a pawn in the bigger game to get Bozza (gawd help us) into the big chair in the long run.

I seem to remember Cameron having some charisma. What we found out he also had after the referendum was a testicular by-pass; when the people asked him to incept the result of the referendum he ran away.

If Mrs May has had a charisma by-pass but retains her testicular fortitude then that might be just what we need at the moment.

Sadly Richard I believe she has neither quality.

Rabbit in the headlights is my assessment.

She seems to have brought absolutely zip to the party.

Surely the majority of what she is currently doing is negotiating behind the scenes having taken over in about as tough a spot as has been for a PM since the 1940s. Personally happy to cut her a bit of slack and see how things pan out before jumping to assess her based on very little evidence. Not convinced you're wrong btw, just think a bit early to be too judgemental considering the situation she has been left by the previous incumbent

Fair comment but I think if she was going to stamp any authority on the situation then she ought to have done it by now - if for no other reason than to dissuade the likes of me from a possible (6month) rush to judgement.

I still think she's a holding card as far as the Tories are concerned most of whom, I believe, think she's nothing more than Bozza's warm-up act.

That prospect chills my blood to think he may well end up being the stooge in a double act with Trump.

For me she's not showing strong leadership, she's not engaging with the people and that Christmas message was plain cringe. Her body language and soundbites/interviews are not working. Unfortunately being the 2nd female PM she'll get compared to MaggieT whom despite her many faults was a born leader and fairly ruthless. Very strong leadership is what is needed presently and Mrs May just seems to be a bit short of the mark, I'm pretty unconvinced presently but to be fair she's got a tough shift.

cant disagree that we need strong leadership, out of curiosity who do people propose, not as if the alternatives are screaming out as much better options

Hard to be too critical at this stage as she's inherited a mess with Brexit and the ongoing economic issues. I'd prefer someone that can get on with it and not look to make too many soundbites or be to showy

What a crowd of know it alls. I would like to see what some of you crowd of neer do wells would do in the job and what exactly makes you qualified to judge her in the short time she has been in office. Seems like she had the balls to kick that whinging Sir Ivan into the long grass.

What has she done or not done that leads you to label her as disappointing?

The above answers it for me.

I feel so safe and secure knowing we have you to put us right at every turn...

I was away so haven't seen her Xmas message. Was it really that bad?

As far as comparisons to Thatcher go, I'm too young to remember her when she became PM. Was she a strong leader right from the start or did she grow into the role over a few years?

For good or bad she was tough as nails from the off and when she spoke you listened, took the Unions on and beat them, not called the Iron Lady for nothing.

She doesn't seem to b every engaging. similar to Angela Merkel, and she is leading Germany for 11 years now.

The UK had their charismatic leaders in Blair and Cameroon, and they both didn't seem to be liked after they were done. Maybe it's a good thing.
