Champions League going to BT

Going to Virgin everything when we move next month and have BT and Sky as part of the deal so it isn't an issue. I am surprised Sky have let it go and would imagine they will do what ITV do and get one match per week and focus on one team

read 'outbid', SKY said it was over valued in their opinion, sour grapes as SKY were the ones 'buying' it in in the first place many years ago

I have Virgin with BT Sport but I don't really watch the Champions League too much nowadays.
Knockout games are ok but only the second leg and to be honest I can take or leave it, doesn't feel the same as it did a few years ago.

I like the scattergun approach of BT's football coverage.
Really enjoyed the Sailsbury v's Hereford game the other night. Proper fitba in my view.

I don't enjoy multi millionaires rolling about like prima donnas, diving and cheating all over the place
Sky is a bit of a one trick pony and the EPL is a bit predictable [boring]

I thought that nice Mrs Thatcher said competition in business was good for the public.

Not this afternoon it's not! ;) But your point is not lost on me.

It happens in every league it's just the premier league gets more coverage than the rest so you see more if it.

Yes you do get some decent lower league games but the majority of them the football is shocking in them.

And the premiership is predictable!? Have you been watching it this season?

Jings have Sunderland appointed a Scottish manager on the QT.

Bozza I do agree that this year seems a bit more open.
Great to see old teams like Southampton and Liverpool doing well again.
I still think we all know who will be relegated though.

Also known as the Mickey Mouse cup of Europe.

Totally devalues it when the teams that get dumped out of the champions league early stages get put in as a consolation prize.

I prefer The Europa League, the Champs League is a cartel which you can pretty much guarantee the last 16.At least with The Europa there is a degree of unpredictability about it.I agree about the teams coming in from the champs league, though.

I agree, ever since they introduced seeding it has lost it for me. As you say, it mostly guarantees the big teams will progress further, get more money, buy the better players, get seeded again, progress further, get more money etc etc etc

To be honest, I don't give two hoots about the football, now if one of them, were to launch a dedicated golf channel, that would be a different story.
