Assuming you get to read this I apologies for the monotony but I feel it’s only fair to answer everyone’s point of view…You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that.. Lets hope the powers that be respect mine…If you are already bored with the subject. It just get worse so suggest you switch off now.

Bladeplayer….No, this is not the only incident…read my posting properly. Again it’s not about finishing earlier. It’s an example of declining standards. …And yes if it were up to me your last suggestion would be implemented tomorrow.

Three off the Tee….I’m not having a go at Formers as you call them…I would have put this post out anywhere it would be read…I’m trying to get a message across about etiquette and proper conduct.…Get it yet.. People in glass houses??? You on something?

Tommo21...I think the photograph you use sums’ up the kind of person you are and the IQ that goes with it…Lets hear no more from you please.

John Findley…. If it made sense why did your group not acquiesce…. Yes you can putt on 17 but no one does tell you why. It’s dangerous.. The number of balls that hit that green of 18 you would not believe. Anyway off message again.

Chris61...Re your first couple of paragraphs. Did I say all the members were as wonderful as me.. Who said anything about pitch marks, bunkers etc…Getting off message a bit! Common practice in law when you can’t make a reasoned statement. Your attempt at an insult is again the expected response from someone who can’t reason….Just for the record I’m 6 foot, relatively slim, retired, play golf every day and have quite a wide circle of golfing chums at Goswick. I also have considerable contempt for people who try that old cliché about bitter little men.. Maybe if the cap fits.

By the way Dodger I’m not a Troll. Like others you get off message when you can’t think of anything intelligent to say…No new for you I know.

DCB…Thank you for your contribution.. The last time I tried to talk nicely to some visitors who had put a ball up our back on three separate hole on the front nine on a full course. I got dogs abuse.. Plus the deed was done on 18…Had there been more holes to play I would have had a polite word.
But again I return to my main theme I am not having a go at the forum people just using their conduct as an example….

Steve.r…..Thank you for your 11:38 posting saves me the time.. I truly believe you can’t reason with some.

Dodger…My anonymous member…We don’t all want the course filled with visitor….The club doesn’t even have a handicap standard…Back to what you want again…Anyway try and stay on message…
Not certain members. Gilbert Hamblett and the people he plays with.. and many, many others who’s complaints about too many visitors fall on deaf ears. It’s this sort of behaviour that will give the club a bad name..and if you can’t say something constructive don’t say anything better that way.

Dave M….Again off message. …Held golf back….Back from what…You should see some of the behaviour that now masquerades as golf conduct. Anyway as I said to Tommo21 your photo says it all.

SS2...I’m not complaining about the time I’m used to that. Plus didn’t seem that slow to me as I was in a comp…It’s like this. Stupid is as stupid does. If others see what happened on 18 and I grant you an isolated incident unlikely to be repeated I hope….The Neanderthals out there will this it’s ok…
We have had people on our practice ground in their vest and Jeans.. Now yes. I am a bit of a traditionalist we have to have some standards…

Tony N…Done all the green fees we spent lots of money stuff.. . So no more of that.. I shot 34 on Saturday with a 4 at the last. And on Sunday made birdie with a wedge to 12 inches…I play of 12 and if I could putt I would be off single figures.. I’m 65. I use Titelist AP2 irons, 909 woods. And Vokey wedges and I can stop a ball on the links greens much better than most. So lets leave my game out of it… Stay on message. Etiquette must be protected.

Lobthewedge…I would be happy to sign any of the group on. I’m a nice person…but make no apologies fort my opinions. Mind you with my old mans game you might not be to excited being off three as you are..

Bluewolf…I reserve the right to reply to the replies as you can see. I don’t need your opinion on what I say or how often.. On the appearance issue. Someone asked so I gave him the reasoning behind my point of view.. simple.

That’s all folks…unless you think otherwise

It wasn't censorship but your last thread was locked because of where it was going nothing else and no sinister motives were behind it.

This thread won't last long either......

I don't know justagolfer but I think I have learnt more about him than anyone he has commented on. And not in a good way.

I dont think it was a personal attack initially Mr Hamblett (yes I was brought up to respect my elders), the matter has been highlighted, explanations given, apologies made and should be left as such. Unfortunately, as is often the case with forums, arguments or concerns often get dragged into slanging matches.

The reasons being that we read into what we want. There is no body language, tone of voice and so forth, if we are in a bad mood and something slightly offensive is written then we take it more offensively than intended. Once this starts it is very often dragged into a pointless war of words that ends up losing the whole point. I am sure face to face this would have been amicably sorted and more than likely apologies accepted over a beer/coffee or whatever.

As a relative newcomer to golf I love dressing tha part, following the traditions and respecting other golfers, I make mistakes as I do not know all the ins and outs but if I do wrong I learn from it and try not to repeat it. This, I feel, is exactly what would be the case here. Its done, in the past, please can everyone be civilised, move forward and after all, surely GOLF is the winner as its the hobby we all love and enjoy and whatever walks of life we are from something we all have in common :)

I dont understand, I don't think you should really make a new thread just to say all of that , it's not good for anyone so I doubt this will last long.
Also, how old are you ? It says on your profile you are a junior.

Whatever anyone says you'll only decide your right and everyone else is in the wrong.

People have apologised and I'm sure your not perfect. In fact you can't be as you putt badly and thats the easiest part of the game.

Mistakes happen so does slow play. I don't see it as the end of the world. I'm sure they have all done things more worthy of a stoning in their times.

Take your OCD somewhere else, www,org may suit.

I wonder what the committee at the OP's club think of his representations on this very public forum?

I can think of more than one club where the OP would be sanctioned for being so outspoken.

Mr Hamblett - you seem to be a pretty sensible chap

i have loads of trouble with most of the forummers on here about dress code - they just dont get it . I wonder if you would kindly let me know your thoughts on modern dress codes; it would be nice to know that there was someone else out there who had similar thoughts to me on this important subject.
