Handicap Changes Season 2024

7 comps played. All scores were outside of my handicap, which went from 15.1 to 16.1.

Having not played any golf since March mine has hardly moved

I had already gone up by 4 shots Mar 23 to Mar 24 when I did play but that is what serious injury does to you.

I expect it go up further when I start again.

I started the year on 14.7, briefly dropped to 14.4 but have now gone up to 15.3.

In fairness I don't think I am playing any worse now than I was at this time last year. But through the year I have made substantial swing changes for the first time, plus I decided to start putting every round in for my handicap record. This has backfired a little because I played several nice, new courses, and generally played well but only achieved 32-35 points so my handicap still went up.

Hoping that once I hit 16.0 my swing changes will finally click I'll be tearing up the early comps next year for a little while.

If you were taking gimmes before, no wonder your handicap was lower!!

Started at 11.3.
Had lessons for first time in many years. Messed my head up. Went to 15.2
Suddenly clicked in a 3 week period and dropped to 10.0 in 9 rounds (including a gross 75)
Now at 11.0 and v excited.

I went up to 25.4

Lowest it was throughout the season was 22.2 (that was Tuesday)

It's now 22.5

Suffering from the shanks ATM however I'm in a very good position as I have 7 throw away rounds until the next score that would drop off my best so hopefully ill throw in a good one before that

An add to this I have (so far) put 37 rounds in this year

Since then I've chipped away to a low of 10.9 and currently at 11.0.

Lowest I've ever been was 10.1 and I feel like I'm a better player now than then. But I was playing a lot more then and more consistent.

Started the year at 8.1 and now at 6.6, so pretty happy overall. Especially as we were on non-qualifiers from Feb through March at my old club and then didn't have a club from June 1st through August 16th.

37 scores, all comps. V rarely go low though did have a low differential of 2.2 this year. At one point though my 8 lowest scores were 5x5.8 and 3x6.7 . One third place, but won order of merit
